Main project features : SHINE was selected as the sole training partner to design, prepare course materials adopt to Indian conditions and conduct training to 7 Healthy Urbanization Learning Circles (HULCs, each consisting of Medical Doctor, NGO, Representative from the area, Post graduate Research assistant. They were trained to conduct research to know the cause for Social ill health of Bangalore, find out causes and recommend action to ensure implementation. Bangalore was selected as one of the six centers in the world. SHINE’s work became a model to the world. This was the project of WHO, in collaboration with BBMP. This was completed by SHINE in four modules
